Take a look at The Most Popular Books on /r/Fantasy. There you will find this sub’s favorites. Start at the top and work your way down, grabbing whatever you find most interesting, it is hard to go wrong. If you have already gotten to most of those, or want to try something different, check out The Underrated List for books people feel need more attention.

A series that can be of interest is the Heartblaze series By Shayne Roberts. It has a wide range of various supernatural creatures. Including but not limited to shifters, Norns, Vikings, vampires, ghosts, Loki, Vargr, and much much more. Its unlike everthing I have ever read in this genre. And it rocks 😬😬😬😬

Dragons: Temeraire series by Naomi Novik. Very brilliant set of books about how a world with dragons would work.
Vikings: Brotherband Chronicles by John Flanagan. It is fun to read but written for a slightly younger audience. Also, the book is set in an alternate world where the Viking equivalents are called Skandians and this series focusses on them. If you are looking for historical fiction about Vikings, this may not suit you. If you just find them cool, this is a good one.
It is what you read when you don’t have to that determines what you will be when you can’t help it.
