Not exactly horror, per say, but I love anything by Karin Slaughter. Her books are crime thrillers but the detail she goes into of the crimes are extensive and definitely get my blood pumping!

I used to read Dean koontz but started reading Catherine Coulter. It is the FBI series. Some of them have been paranormal, but not horror. Just can not get into them again, going more for mysteries.

Glad I found this thread. I was looking for some horror books as well. Normally never considered horror, but I want to give it a shot.

I don't like horror stories really but almost anything by Stephen King is enough to fortify me. He is one of the best horror authors for a reason.

Frank Peretti has some really good ones out there. Ted Dekker forays into the genre in an excellent way as well.
