I ended up packing a few different books with me for the hospital stay while waiting for my son to arrive.
Actually, I never cracked a cover though, because there was just too much going on for me to read. And, I felt like my life at the moment was much more exciting than any book could ever be!

Maybe something by Jojo Moyes, Mary Higgins Clark, or even re-reading a series?
Next on my list is the Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer. Have heard good things about it.
