I have read pretty much all of John Green's books and I need recommendations of similar, especially books like Paper Towns. I love reading about high school life in America. Thanks in advance.

Honestly wanted to say “Turtle all the way down” but then is still John Green! You will like Mosquitoland by David Arnold.

How about reading books written by Paul Zindel? He specializes in penning books about the youth and high school life. Some of his books include "MY Darling, My Hamburger," "The Undertaker's Gone Bananas," "I Never Loved Your MInd," "Confessions of a Teenage Babboon," and "Pardon Me, you're stepping into my Eyeballs."

Rainbow Rowell has a book called Fangirl which is about a character struggling through the first year of college in rural America.
