What is your favorite film that should be a book?

Post by Laura Del »

I want to know what movie you think should have been a book or have a book written about it. I know a lot of stories that just compelled me to look and see if they're in written form, only to be disappointed that they're not. My pick would be Passengers. I liked the movie and would want to know what the heck happened before the rest of them woke up. (If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about.)

So, what movie would you choose?

Well, funnily enough, there are books for all of the original Planet of the Apes films, except for the very first one from 1968. There's even books for the 2001 film and the newest additions to the series, Rise, Dawn, and War. I would really like to read a novelization of the very first film from 1968. It would also be nice if they made it unique and not just an echo of what was in the film.

The original book by Pierre Boulle that inspired the film series was nothing like the 1968 film, because it was too costly to create the set.

Oh my, so many great films I'd love to be able to read anytime. I would love for The Man Who Never Was to be novelized, as well as Stalag 17, and The Unsuspected. The movies are great on there own but I would love to be able to see the character's inner monologues.

The Red Violin is my favorite movie of all time and I find it utterly incomprehensible that this was not written first as a novel.

There should be a book version of BIRD BOX. Although I enjoyed the movie, I wish it had been a book.

It's actually adapted by a book of the same name by Josh Malerman. :tiphat:

No problem. :)
I love finding out there's a book of something I enjoyed, and I don't get to be on this side of the situation very often.

There is a venezuelan movie called La casa del fin de los tiempos. ( The house of the end of times) it's suspense with terror, but with a touch of history that surprise you at the end. It's a master piece of Venezuelan's film. I would love to read a book of this movie
