Marvel: Movies Or Comic Books?

Post by shraddharm »

After watching "Avengers Infinity War" I wanted to know how many of you have read the comics and then watched the movies or watched the movies and then found out about the comics. I have done both.

There are so many years of comics that I feel overwhelmed even attempting to catch up with them so I've only read a few here or there.

I love watching the movies and I listen to what people tell me about the comics to see if it’s the same or not and most of the time there close.

I just watched the movie, including Infinity War, and I'm planning to read the comics if I ever get a chance to buy them all. I haven't heard or met yet a Marvel comics fan that complained about the movies though.

Movies, there are so many Marvel comic books. I would not where to begin or how to put them in order.

I know that there is a comic book for it but I prefer watching it than reading.

I do enjoy comics a lot but I haven't taken the time to read the comics after watching the movie. My boyfriend knows a lot about the comics and updates me on such things.

I much prefer movies over comic books... I can appreciate more of the superheroes' amazing powers and abilities when I see great visual/special effects that comes with it - which can only be seen in films that a comic book cannot provide...

I watched the film first then wanted to know how much of the actual comic book storyline was retained so i searched online and found various sites of comic book fans who posted their reviews about the film and the similarities between the two. I have read a few marvel comics, x-men being my favourite, but never the avengers although I did read the actual storyline of infinity war online after watching the film.

I watched almost all of the Marvel movies in 2 weeks to prepare for Infinity War. My favorites are Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2, Doctor Strange, and all of the Thor movies. Infinity war was amazing, it was all I could think about for days after I saw it. I've never felt so emotionally impacted by a superhero movie.
