Alice in wonderland-book or movie?

They are totally different. I like the books but I found them confusing as a child. Tim Burton's movie is great, in my opinion, Mad Hatter's character portrayed by Johnny Depp is fascinating.

I've read the book and seen the movies. The movies are less an adaptation and more of an "inspired by". There are many inconsistencies from the book to the movies: sequence of events, characters, conflicts, locations, etc. Even Alice herself is different. The writers of the movies take the world Lewis Carroll created and simply took characters and elements from it and rewrote the plot, loosely based on Alice's adventures.

Usually I don't like when movies stray so far from a book's plotline, but personally, this is one exception when I actually prefer to watch the movies.

The movie and the book were quite different, but I enjoyed both. One of my favorite characters was The Queen of Hearts. I would highly recommend others to read the book and see the movie.

I read this book as a child, and I liked it. It was so funny and creepy at the same time.
Tim Burton's movie is completely different. The book and the movie are two different stories. It's like comparing apples and oranges.

I absolutely agree. I love every Tim Burton movie, and I am so very biased.

I've read the book too, and I prefer the movie. The book was just kinda odd and hard to follow for me, I prefer seeing everything going on in this instance. I hear a lot of people feel the same way about Hitchhikers Guild to the Galaxy, But I haven't read the book yet.

Neither, I was never a fan of this book. I found it weird and strange. Although I would pick the book over movie any day. Books are usually better than their movie counterparts.
