I was a teenager when Grease came out in the movies and loved it. Generally I like musicals, but I haven't seen one in years.

I loved watching Grease when I was younger, and I saw Cats on Broadway in the 90's. Generally, I like musicals but I haven't seen one in years.

My favorite musical of all time is Phantom of the Opera. When the Phantom sings "The Music of the Night", it gives me goose bumps.

I love musicals! I don't care what kind it is either. Everything from Rent to Mary Poppins to Grease. I can't even count how many I have been to between local high schools (don't judge) and professional theater performances. I also have a huge collection of musical movies, it's honestly massive.....

I've never been a fan of musicals much. One musical I do love is The Sound of Music!

This is actually an interesting topic for me. I have a Bachelor's in Theater Studies, and I've stage managed a few musicals. Weirdly enough, I don't like watching musicals as an audience member, though I love working on them. A few years back, I stage managed for a 'younger audience' adaptation of Monty Python's Spamalot It was a whole lot of fun and I would totally do it again if I could. But watching them--I just can't get into it. The random outbursts of song sometimes gets on my nerves.

Wasn't really into them, but after watching The Greatest Showman I am considering the genre and might try to watch Mama Mia or High School Musical.

The most obscure musical I enjoy is The Slipper and the Rose... It's a version of the Cinderella story. Anyone else familiar with this one?

I love musicals!!!! I used to live near Manhattan so I would venture to the city frequently to see musicals on Broadway. I heard that they are making a musical version of "The Notebook" and I'm very interested in seeing that when it comes to Broadway.
There's one book which was turned into a Broadway musical, very successfully, that I'm anxiously awaiting as a movie. That book is Wicked. Casting will be very important so as to match the characteristics portrayed in the novel.

Yes! Musicals Please 😀, I recently watched the 2018 Mama Mia 2. It was full of love, romance and all the clichés we all like in musicals. I'd really recommend for one to watch it. It's worth the while. :tiphat:

I agree! Sweeney Todd is an incredible show, the movie was pretty good.

I love the classic musicals like Singing in the Rain and agreed on West Side Story. But recently, I was so impressed with The Greatest Showman, I love that musicals are coming back!
