Hook is my all time fave and I adored Peter Pan (2003) starring Jeremy Sumpter. If anything, the Disney version is pretty good. Not my favorite and a little racist, but nice to watch.

Personally I love the original Disney (as has already been mentioned, it is racist at parts by today's standards), as well as Hook (a sequel: Peter left Neverland, became an adult with wife and children, until his children are kidnapped by Hook!).

Also, I do love how JM Barrie gave the rights for all future Pan films/books, so funds still go to Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.

Hook is an all-time favorite of mine that I still enjoy!

The cast and the creative world that they fabricated are so much fun.

Definitely the Peter Pan (2003) one! Or maybe I'm biased because I had a crush on him when I was younger. If you haven't watched it yet, I recommend you to give it a try. I must have re-watched it a hundred times already.

Hook was pretty good too. It was fun to see Peter Pan as a adult and how he reacted when he went back to Neverland.

There's been a lot of Peter Pan remakes recently. But I don't think any of them can compare to the two mentioned above :hand: (Again, this is just my opinion!)

Not sure if it counts, being a story about the story, but Finding Neverland was the best Peter Pan for me.

As far as movies go I really enjoyed the 2004 version of Peter Pan with Jeremy Sumpter ^w^
It didn't have completely everything like the books but it's flying song is used in most of the Disney commercials for their vacations now too! lol Also "Hook" is always a classic, I love the concept of "After Neverland" if Peter had decided to leave Neverland to grow up... its a cool idea!

I agree! I loved the cartoon! I also watched one that was a stage production and the lead was played by a female. I was also very young and liked it. I probably wouldn't like it today.

My opinion is that I think I'm fine with all adaptations. It's hard for me to decide what's best with things like this sometimes, and I guess I just don't mind, as long as it's good.

The most recent films are terrible: the last good film was 2003's Peter Pan. As far as animated films go, Walt Disney's Peter Pan (1953) is undoubtedly the best. The 1924 black-and-white Peter Pan is extraordinary with real actors, and the Spielberg-directed Hook is also great.
