I haven't read any LOTR books until after I watched the films. In the case of The Hunger Games, I wanted to know the ending of the series after I watched the first film.

Dreamcatcher. It's my favorite Stephen King movie and when I saw the book I just had to read it.

I watched The Hunger Games before I read the books. The movie made me curious and I tried the books and enjoyed them more than the movie.

The Lord of the Rings. I remember I opened up Fellowship just as soon as I finished watching Return of the King.

After watching The Prestige, I got to know it's based on a book of the same name by Christopher Priest.

So I read it. It was good, but it's one of those rare cases where the movie is better. It's my favorite Nolan.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was the film that got me hooked on reading the entire series.

Also, you can add Game Of Thrones (even though I'd been wanting to read it for decades) Watching the series made me want to read the entire series. Actually, I listened to them on audible. sd

Also, VC Andrews' Flowers in the Attic and Stephen King's Cujo.

''The gods are not to blame'' by Ola Rotimi,it's so encoded and uniquely written that the wit of theater cannot satisfy.

There were a few such instances, of course...but the most odd is that I watched the movies first in the Harry Potter Series. Not all, of course, but I watched the first 2 movies before I started reading the books. Once I started reading, though, I was hooked, of course. The books, obviously, are soooooooo much richer.
