Book's are almost always better than the movies. Unless it is based on a short story than I usually like the movie better.

Movies regularly change and omit some of the most interesting and complex ideas in books. Movies while entertaining can't, in my opinion, tell the story in the same way a book can. A book is personal, a movie is general. They are made for everyone to view at one time. A book can be shared, but it was made to fit right in your hands.

Books over movies.

Nah... I would always go for the movie rather than the book.

I usually read the book first and then watch the movie to see if it's doing justice to the book. There have been cases were the movie is better than the book, but mostly it is the other way around.

I would read the book, because I feel like I can savor a book easier. Spending more time on reading makes me feel more connected. I'm not opposed to watching the movie though!

Like a few others have said, I will usually read the book first and then watch the movie. Movies usually end up leaving out or changing too many important details for my liking, though. I like getting to see the character's thoughts and reactions in books. It makes them more realistic and allows me to connect with them. There are some great movies based on books, but I would say most fall short.

It depends if I have the time to read the book, movies are faster and easier but books allow you time to think deeper

I'd much rather read the book. Apart from the very real fear that the cast, crew and production team will completely trash the movie, there's also the reality of not every detail will make it onscreen, and a scene one person would deem superfluous may seem to essential to someone else. I get to go at my own pace and create my own visuals when reading - no one can mess it up but me.

Only if the book is in third person though, otherwise I'd prefer the movie.

A book, because I don't like watching things alone but I can read books alone and enjoy them the most

If I like the book or manga, I would be willing to try to watch the movie. Yet, overall I rather read the book or manga.

I would rather read the book. In my experience, books have usually been better than the movie. I would enjoy reading than watching a film about the same story.

I prefer the book every time! Reading the book stirs imagination. There is so much more presented in the pages of a book. With watching the movie, you are presented with what you see and told and thats it. Books are open to the reader's discretion for what they take away from it. Reading, to me, is more involved for both the reader and the author.

It's really tough for me to chose between them both 'cause I enjoy them both. But I like the way books vividly shows what's in there. But I also like movies especially series.
