2 movies that stick with me;
Zulu - yes the 1960s film with Michael Caine. Despite the odds, 100 British soldiers did the unthinkable.

Seven - the 7 deadly sins...

"Sister Act" for me is unforgettable. Whoopi Goldberg was awesome in her role!

I can't forget American Gangster. Denzel Washington at his best.

The immediate answer is Clint Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby. If I was trapped on a deserted island and I could only take five films with me, I know that Million Dollar Baby would certainly be one, and then I would agonize over the remaining four. I've probably never been so emotionally affected by a film before. For one, it's beautiful from start to finish, from its earthy texture and humble tone to its deeply human characters. And it's just a story about pure, unadulterated human love--not romantic love, mind you, but just genuine compassion and connection with people who choose to become family, not because they are related by blood, but because they are related by their quality of character and spirit. It's powerful stuff.

I know I run the risk of being called a real nerd, but my pick is: The Dark Knight Rises

Why I think it is special: It was the final installment of Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy. I think that itself guarantees that this movie will live on forever :D

Nothing wrong with loving The Dark Knight Rises, Samy. It's a great film.
