I prefer watching anime but sometimes you have to read the manga. A lot of times things that happen in the manga are left out and I'm just like, "NO!" It's very 50/50 for me.

Being an avid reader so I love to read manga. I can understand the appeal of anime though, I have tried it and some are really good but I keep going back to manga😊

Manga. Anime is way too slow and painful to watch.

It has to be anime for me. I've tried reading mangas, and when it's a slice of life, I'm okay reading it. But when it's an action manga like Naruto or Inuyasha, I can't follow along properly. How can you see the fight scenes properly when they're drawn on paper? I have a hard time following these kind of scenes because I can't see their attacks properly. But when you're watching the anime, you can see and hear the characters. You can see their epic fight scenes and their intense battles that's all happening in a blink of an eye. The mangas really don't do the battle scenes justice.

When I watch anime, I have three main criteria about whether I'll finish it. Is the story good? is the art good? How about the voice actors? Anime can be much more immersive than manga when done well. That being said; if I love the plot of an anime and want more detail, I wouldn't hesitate to read the manga too.

I’m going to choose Anime. I like the visuals and theme songs. I find it more interesting to watch Anime than to read Manga.

I agree anime is better than anime. In most cases atleast. Sometimes animators don't do very well.

I'll go with both but sliding more to anime simply because of the color, sound and all the extra effects they get me hooked

I prefer the manga because there are lots of fan service in the anime which sometimes is not essential to the progress of the story. The best example of an anime that has a lot of fan service is fairy tail. Its super annoying.

I love watching the anime more than reading the manga but I have to agree that the anime is usually slow & I like to get through the whole story once I’m into it because I’m impatient. I like that the manga you usually get a lot more.

Mangas are preferable to me as I can read them faster than I can watch Anime. Also, some Anime take years to complete and I currently only watch the short ones like Yuri on Ice.

I like both but I watch more anime. I think an anime is better when it follows the storyline of the manga more closely and has fewer filler episodes. For example, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is one of my favourite animes because it follows the manga closely. The Fullmetal Alchemist anime that came before that wasn't as great but that was because the manga wasn't finished yet so it really just depends.

I usually just watch Anime but recently I am starting to read Mangas especially when the anime is not not done yet and I wan to find out what happens. I appriciate both of them and I agree that sometimes the manga is better because of the focus on the story. Although, the overall combination of music, voice, and animation gives a lot of life and emotion in the anime.
