There is a series of books that I love, and I think would make great movies. "Space Mavericks" by Michael Kring. These books were really badly edited and were never mainstream popular so I don't expect them to become films. I wish I had the money and expertise to make my own version as I think they would be awesome.

I wish Delirium by Lauren Oliver was a movie. They failed miserably at trying to make a tv show out of it. It was a mess.

I would want to see the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton made into a movie. I understand that it has been discussed but Laurell K Hamilton wants the series to stay true to the book. I hope that it gets picked up.

I hesitate to say this, but if done right, I would love to see Catcher in the Rye made into a movie. I recently read that Jerry Lewis tried to buy the rights and wanted to plat Holden. I can't imagine what that would have been like!

Well my wish is coming true it seems with Netflix deciding to televise The Witcher series. Loved both the books and the games. Can't wait.

I think Charlie Sheldon's Strong Heart has all the trappings of the elements which make great movies. This narrative can suitably lend itself to be eased into an interesting movie. Its captivating storyline will surely be an added advantage for movie makers. Yes, I wish Strong Heart were a movie.

Erin Morgenstern's "The Night Circus" would be an amazing film if done without budget or time-constraints. There are rumors that it has been picked up for production, but nothing seems to be concrete. I think that it could be a truly magical and awesome movie. Then again, I fear it wouldn't live up to expectations and I would be disappointed.

Agreed. Part of me can see where Salinger was coming from, but I also think he was maybe a bit arrogant. A while back there was a series here in the UK about 'Hundred best books of the Century' or something along those lines, and the makers were sued because, during a discussion of 'Catcher' they even showed a really brief non-specific montage of a kid walking a city street. I would also like to see the rest of the 'His Dark Materials' series made into a movie, as I think the adaptation of 'Northern Lights'/The Golden Compass was actually under-rated and suffered from being in competition with the Harry Potter movies.
