Any of the series by Tamora Pierce - her worldbuilding, character development, and plot just makes my heart sing. Although, I fear making any of her books into movies would just be awful and then I'd be irritated.

I would love to see A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini made into a movie. It is one of my favorite books and think it could be adapted well.

I would like to see Warriors as an animated cartoon series based on the art style of James L. Barry. If you have ever read the comics about Warriors, Barry has excellent artwork that is very entertaining. It's downright awesome. I think that an animated version should faithfully follow the main series, though, it would be really cool if the side stories were created into standalone films too. I do miss traditional animation. I'm not a fan of 3D graphics.

I would love to see a movie of The Mote in God's Eye and The Gripping Hand. That is an incredible set of sci-fi books that would be stunning with today's graphics.

A well adapted version of the Ringworld series would be great. But I think, these days a lot people would think it's some Halo spinoff.

I wonder too, if since they made a movie of Ender's Game will they tackle the rest of Card's series? Speaker for the Dead is one of the best books I've ever read and Xenocide and Children of the Mind are utterly mind bending novels.

Anne Rice's Cry to Heaven would make an incredible movie.

And I agree on Anne McCafery's Pern novels, those are long overdue. I think the novel that jumped back in time to the planet being colonized would be the best to translate to the screen.

Neuromancer by William Gibson. The sci-fi classic most in need of going on the silver screen :)

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Are you talking about the Irish language?

I’m am DYING to see a film adaptation of ‘Six of Crows’ by Leigh Bardugo. It’s one of the young adult novels I actually enjoyed because the characters was so diverse and interesting. Also the setting of this book gives me Assassin’s Creed feels which I would love to see outside of my brain.

Children of the red king by Jenny Nimmo; Her characters were truly alive and not for the first time I found myself falling in love with one of them.
Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer; mostly the eternity code, book three in the series. He had operational control in the book...that just when a reader thinks he/she lost it, that's when he brings it.

Abarat series by Clive Barker, so great and imaginative and I think it would make a wonderful movie series if done correctly.

I have read on social networking sites before that they are working on making a movie version of The Selection by Kiera Cass. I loved the book. I haven't heard or read anything new about it now.
