Chimamanda Adichie's Purple Hibiscus is an awesome book and would be an even better movie.
We're all puppets, Laurie. I'm just a puppet who can see the strings - Doctor Manhattan.

I agree with some of my fellow reviewers that Anne Rice's 'The Witching Hour' would make a good film. The story is gripping and the backdrop of New Orleans is perfect.

I would totally be into that but I recognize it's a difficult book to make movies off. Maybe a series but then again, I doubt it can be translated well to screen.
That's true. The only series that managed to do justice on the book version is Game of thrones. Also, it is kind a hopeless to see it on the big screen because Peter Jackson has no interest in doing it. I can't imagine anyone doing it other than him.

I'm into YA novels and I think The Upside of Unrequited would be cute as a movie.

I wish Lincoln Cole's World on Fire series was a movie. It would be more fascinating watch movie and it will make a superb action and supernatural film.

Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Adichie. I'd like to see how it would be translated into live action

I would love to see ALL of Kathryn Le Veque's books turned into movies. Also Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series. The Creepy Hollow series by Rachel Morgan is a great YA fantasy that would probably make a very pretty epic-like movie series.

I think the Witcher would be an excellent movie or TV series. The books were expressive so maybe a show would do it justice.

I think The Mysterious Benidict Society series (I forgot the author) will be a good movie for children.
