Definitively finish the book first. I have to admit that after reading the book, most films are quite disappointing to me, even good ones. TV/Cinema will never be able to compete against the power of an author's words and the power of a reader's imagination. :techie-studyingbrown:

I make sure to complete the book first. Later I watch the movie, but after a long time finishing the book.

I try to finish the book before seeing the movie; I find that seeing the movie first deprives the book of any room for imagination because, rather than trying to imagine what people and places look like, I can't help but visualize the actors and the set.

I'd rather read the book first. It helps me get a clear picture of the movie.

I don't start watching till I've finished a book. Finishing a book before the movie comes out is a nice bonus since it gives you something to look forward to. It tells you which parts let you down, and which parts had you spellbound.

I will definitely finish the book before watching the film. I think there is more suspense to getting to the end of the book that is exciting. I would rather read the ending than see the ending first in a film.

If you read the book before watching the movie, you get first-hand knowledge of the characters and can best understand the story. Something that did not make complete sense while you were reading the book, will be so clear.

Me. If there is a book I always read it first before even thinking about seeing the movie.

I used to do that, but I don't want to miss the movie being in theaters. It actually helps me to watch the movie first because I'm not comparing it to the book in my mind.

I usually read the books first because I can't wait for the movie to come out. If the movie is already out then I prefer to watch the movie first to have a visual representation

I won't wait to finish reading a book before I go watch the movie because all the thrill and suspense would not be there anymore.

I actually watched the films first before reading the book. It helps me visualize more the characters in the story most of the time and still end up loving the book rather than the film lol

I watch the movie first before reading the book so that I can compare and contrast. I already know I will be disappointed when I watch the movie. Nothing can make me watch a movie whose book I have already read.

Definitely me. Somehow I love knowing that I have read what was going to happen before watching the movie. I also love seeing the virtual picture of what I have already imagined.
