I like to read the book before watching its movie adaptation. It gives me an insight of the story and I watch thze movie only if I find the book interesting at first place.

Trying to get my daughter to read A Wrinkle in Time. Movie won't be out for a while, but it is always tough to get a child to do this. I prefer reading the book first. Joy Luck Club, Snowflower and the Secret Fan, movies were great , books were awesome.

I just saw the movie Valerian, did not read the book ahead of time, never heard of the book it was based on. It must have been good. This indie movie did not do well opening weekend.

If I am reading a book and a movie is coming out about it, I won't go out and see the movie ever because I know that there will be a 99.99 % chance that I will be disappointed.

Right here~! I completed Gerald's Game as soon as I heard about the movie coming out on Netflix. I did the same with The Girl on The Train, and I'm so glad I did because the movie was a letdown.

I read and finish the book first. Often times the book is better than the movie.

I definitely read the book first before watching the movie. Sometimes in the movie, they're not including or are deleting some scenes in the book.

It actually confuses me sometimes. There's always a part of me that feels as if I'm going to miss out on a perfectly written book if I watch the film and spoil the plot. And then also, there's a part that thinks I'm going to miss out on the movie if I read the book first. Maybe it depends. If the film's got good reviews, then I might consider watching the film first. But then again I've also read a lot of books before seeing its adaptation.

Typically, I will read a book first. However, there are plenty of cases where I just did not know a particular movie had been adapted from a book. In those cases, if I enjoyed the movie, then I will still read the book. I almost always enjoy the movie more.

Me Me ME! As much as possible i avoid all spoilers cause i hate spoilers. Then i watch the film and compare it with the book. But there are times that i found the movie first before the book :/

Every time with one exception! I had only read half of The Hobbit when I went to see an Unexpected Journey, but that's only because I knew the source material covered in the movie I had already read. Other than that, I always finish the book first!
