A Dog's Purpose

Post by jpatrick88 »

Has anyone else read this book or A Dog's Journey by the same author Bruce Cameron? Both were amazing books in my opinion. Was wondering if anyone that had read either book knew about the movie coming out and how they felt about the book going to the big screen.

I just finished reading both books and I watched the movie before reading them. They did change a few things in the movie, but I thought the book was better. I actually preferred A Dog's Journey to A Dog's Purpose because there was less jumping around between lives. I hope they make a movie version of A Dog's Journey because they did a great job with the movie version of A Dog's Purpose.

I haven't read this book yet but I watched the trailer for this movie and I think I will watch this soon. It has not yet been shown in Manila as of this writing.

I'd rate a dog's purpose 2 out of 4. It didn't really impress me though

I haven't read A Dog's Purpose or A Dog's Journey yet, but I would like to. I just know that when I do, I will bawl my eyes out like I did when I saw the movie trailer. I'm a huge dog lover.

I cried watching this movie, particularly the story of the canine when the dog was killed on duty to save a human's life.

This is me. A Dog's Purpose keeps coming on TV. I didn't know there were books. Definitely going to read them before watching.

I didn't really like A Dog's Purpose all that much. I watched it with my family one night and we were all just very confused by the time it ended. It had a couple of sweet and/or sad moments, but the structure of the entire movie is very strange. I'll definitely pick up the book sometime in the future and give it a read, just to see if it makes any more sense than the movie did.

I recently watched this and really want to read the book. I did think there was a lot going on in the film, with the different stories, so I’ll need to read the book and see if it is similar.
