I agree that Gus did come off as pretentious. More so in the movie than in the book, but maybe that was his defense mechanism. I enjoyed the book and the movie. More so the book. It didn't make me cry like everyone else though

It was wonderful. Both the book and the movie is heartbreaking and i kept on crying.

I saw the movie and I would be lying if I said I didn't cry. It wasn't in a depressing manner, just in a sad way. The actors portrayed the characters so well it touched my heart.

The Fault In Our Stars was yet another book by John Green that was able to tell an actually authentic teenage love story while effectively crushing your heart as well. Although it was a great read and touching movie, I do thing it was slightly overrated in its time. Nonetheless, I enjoyed reading it.

I feel like am late to the party but John Green knows how to phrase his words. Got me looking for a fictious book because it was referenced as something so real and famous in the novel (The Emperial Affliction). The books has a number of eye opening, mind boggling perspectives. Some infinities are indeed bigger than others.

This book was recommended to me by my friend and it didn't disappoint. A greatly written book that left me speechless. It is the only book ever to make me cry

I am not sure if I could read this book! I don't like crying and I know that this book would accomplish this. It would be great for readers who love tear-jerkers though.

Its unusual that a movie based on a book is directed just as it is. But TFIOS movie did an amazing job at replicating the book just as it is. I personally hate when a movie-based book goes out of the way to appeal to the public. Because it does the book no justice that way.

The title is not our star, but a quote from Cassius' famous Julius Caesar of our own mistakes. Woodley and Elgort are flawless here. Destiny takes them cruel and rotten hands, and they need to make the most of it. I've never seen a movie that impressed me since Clint Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby. Even Medusa is to shed tears with this. :( :(

I had read the book first and then I watched the movie. I have to say that the book is thousand times better than the movie. The movie did not covers the little details that make the book so touching.

The book has always been way better than the movie. This was the first book I ever bought for myself and I remember being highly disappointed while seeing the movie because they would just miss a lot of stuff or change important and small details!

I have never read the book but I watched the movie and it moved me so much that I was to scared to read the book for fear it would make me break into tears. But I guess that is all the more reason to read it I guess.
