They are quite similar to the films, but the books I found more dark. They are very easy to read though.

I enjoyed both the books and the movies. The first two books are my favorites, and the first one in the movies my favorite as well. While Mockingjay had its own level of excitement, I wish Prim had a better ending in the story. The whole storyline seemed kind of wasted to me of what they did in that area. Katniss does what she does to protect her sister, and then in the end it's almost like they are saying that she did all of that for nothing. Anyway, aside from that part of the story, I like the series.

I absolutely loved the books and the first few movies. However, the last movie was rather disappointing. I don't think a lot of people liked it and I know I wasn't a huge fan.

I really enjoyed the films. While I feel like they did gloss over and change a couple things, I think they did a pretty good job of keeping along with the timeline of the books.

I didn't enjoy the last movie as much as the others but I LOVED both film and book. Has to be one of my favorite series!

The books are well written and movies are a decent adaptation. I wouldn't go so far as to say they are replica's of each other since books and movies will always live in parallel to one another. To me the movies helped with the visualization of Panem and the outfits Cina makes for Katniss.

I read the books first and fell in love with the story and after watching the movies I fell in love again.

I saw the first movie which got me interested in reading the books. I preferred the book over the movie so I have not seen the rest of the movies. I have read all the books and they are wonderful. Very Easy to read and very easy to escape into.

I agree that the movies left out a lot of things, but they still are good!

I too saw the films first and I loved them. Then I read the books. I found the books explained things that the film glossed over, and now I enjoy the movies so much more than I did before. I highly recommend reading them.

I enjoyed both the movie and books separately. While reading the books my mind was more on the darker side of thinking were as the movies seemed to keep it more appealing to audiences.

I think most books that turn to movies leave out so many good parts but for this series the movies were not that bad compared to some I have seen.

I also read all the books prior to seeing the movies. To be honest, I prefer the movies to the books. I am glad they made the changes that they did but still kept the most important parts.
