A book that made me cry was The Book Thief, however the movie didn't have that affect. I think it was because they changed specific details that in the book is what really tugged at my heart.

If you can watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows or Lion King and not cry, you just don't have a heart! Dobby, and some of the others, and Mufasa get me every time! I'm sure there's a few others that have gotten me, but those are the two big ones I avoid regularly since I know they turn me into a mess.

"The Fault In Our Stars" both book and movie made me cry. "Notebook" also made me cry. They were so good when I saw the movie and I made my mother watch it too. She loved them too.

Death of Sirius Black, Dumbledore and Snape in book 5, 6 and 7 respectively made me shed tears and I think that must be the case with all HP fans as these three were protectors of Harry in a way.

Then there is book 3 of Vampire Academy at the end of which I cried my eyes out when Dmitri Belikov dies at the hands of Strigoi. I wept for almost an hour even after putting down the book but my hopes went up when I read in the next book that he was alive even if as a strigoi.

I saw the movie and thought the ending was very sad but I didn't cry. There have been movies that had me tearing up like August Rush.

I definitely teared up during Wonder and Only the Brave. I typically don't cry during movies, but those two really yanked my heartstrings.

I ugly cried after reading Of Mice and Men. And then watching the movie. It was a bad week for me...
Also The Green Mile. I haven't read the book, but when that movie starts, I'm already a mess.
You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book.
