Odd Thomas

I really love the Odd Thomas books and I thought the movie was really well done. Did anyone else like it? Do you think they're likely to make any more, considering?

I keep hoping they will make the rest of that series. I fully expected it after watching Odd Thomas. It was a decent adaptation. And I usually don't love watching movies from my favorite books and authors.

I LOVED the Odd Thomas series for the most part (although I thought that Dean Koontz go sloppy with his writing throughout). I have not seen the movie. I am typically of the belief that the movie is never as good as the book. Is the movie a close adaptation to the book and is it just the first book? Another reason I don't like the movies is because everything on the big screen has become so sexualized. Is this movie adaptation like that?

I loved Odd Thomas from the first time I picked up Dean Koontz's book. Mr. Koontz has taken me on many wild rides and created characters that I love, so I was very excited when he wrote another book about Odd. I do believe they did a good job with the movie and could wish that they would do another. I have not caught up with all the books though, so I am behind and cannot comment on the writing of late.

I have the Odd Thomas book series, but have yet to read them. I heard they were good, but I've had a never ending list to catch up on. I had no idea there was a movie. Was there anything significantly changed between the two?

I haven't read Odd Thomas yet even though Dean Koontz is one of my favorite authors. I will have to add this to my To Be Read list.

When I saw the movie, I didn't know it was based on a book series. But I loved the movie, even though I cried a lot in the last part (Didn't see that one coming). And now I couldn't bring myself to read the books anymore.

They have an Odd Thomas movie?! I have to request this from the library! I love the Odd Thomas series but I've been busy with other books recently. I think this series is one of my most favorites because of the depth of the characters and the intricacy of the plot.

Now I've got to go reread them all . . . and search for a copy of the movie at my library!

I really liked this movie, I was so happy to find out it was based on books. I'm quite sad that we lost Anton, I don't think another movie would feel right without him.
