Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children movie

Post by Elle Reve »

hello everyone!!

So I have been reading the Miss Peregrine's and so far there are quite captivating. I have also heard about its' movie. Being the type of girl who will always choose a book over a movie, please do let me know what you guys think about the characters and how well they have been played and displayed. I do hope the movie is 70 percent of the book because I do enjoy a good movie!!

I'd like to know as well! I really emjoyed the books- all three of them actually. But don't want to watch the movies if they are going to butcher the creativity in the books.

I'm still on the second part of the book. So far so good. I've seen the trailer and i love the teen actor they chose to play Jacob.

I am looking forward to the movie. It probably can not do the book justice (it is so difficult for movies to do that), but I am hoping it will be fun. I loved the book (the first more than the others in the series), so I am hoping that they get it right.

I have never heard of the books before watching the trailer and I think I am going to watch the movie first and read the books later. I actually think I always read the book before the movie and that's why I always have big expectations and problems regarding accepting the movie version. I hope I can cope with the wait...

I have not seen the movie or read the book. I have heard of it and really the interesting title led me here. But after everything I've read in the forum I'll have to read the book

I really enjoyed this series, but I'm super skeptical about the movie because they've changed so many things - like Emma's power! I'm honestly really unhappy with that, since it was a huge part of the book and who she was and I don't understand why it has to be different.

The trailer was also super different from what I imagined - I had never thought of the story as a super colorful and vibrant scene, especially considering the monochromatic vintage covers and photographs, and the trailer was completely opposite of what I had been thinking.

This was a unique project, which made me happy. I fell in love with the innocence and magic that Hollywood would probably butcher. Leave well enough alone!

I've seen the trailer, but I haven't read the books. I don't know that much about them, on purpose but I think that the cover and supposed pictures give "scary vibes" off to me and I am definitively not a horror fan. I may just sit this one out unless someone else convinces me otherwise!

I've seen the trailer and it looks so amazing! I'm honestly kind of curious about the books and might try to add them to my list of what I should read. I have friends who have read them and loved them so so much.

I'm excited to see this movie but I am also worried it won't come across in the same way the book does. The book is very different and magical; I worry this will be lost in the movie adaptation. Can't wait to see it though, hoping for the best!
