What movies are you looking forward to seeing?

Post by Gravy »

I'm looking forward to Finding Dory.
I'm also very interested in seeing Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children :D
I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting

How about everyone else?

Well, to tell the truth I don't have a particular movie which I am looking forward to, but I can tell you of one I HAVE been looking forward to and just saw for the first time the other night which proved to be rather a disappointment - Mockingjay (part II). There was a lot of action, but it really was quite disjointed and choppy. The book's presentation, though the same story, was much better in my opinion.

Once surprising (and touching) bit that the movie had which the book did not was Haymitch kissing Effie Trinket on the lips when he says goodbye to her. The actors, Woody Harrelson and Liz Banks decided to do this on their own - it was not in the script - but the director left it in.

Bit of trivia about Mockingjay II:

The two very young children shown at the very end of the movie are Jennifer Lawrence's real-life nephews.

I'm very excited about the animated movies coming out. Looking forward to seeing Finding Dory, Angry Birds, and The Secret Life of Pets. The second Alice in Wonderland also is on my list. I will definitely be having a great movie night soon with my fiancé. Always look forward to having a night of laughs to get away from the stresses of life!

Definitely Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children. But judging from the commercials they aren't going exactly by the book which might ruin it for me.

Thankfully I'd seen the trailer first, so I knee what to expect prior to reading the books (I only have library of souls left).
I can understand how the differences could disappoint.

It always irks me the most when they change the original characters... When they bend the plot in movie/TV series adaptations of books, and THEN make the characters do things that the original characters from the books would NEVER do!

Now You See Me 2!

I watched Now You See Me - it was amazing and absolutely epic! I really, really, really loved it. Sadly, in Now You See Me 2, apparently the female lead has changed? I'm not very sure whether it's going to be better or worse (because I haven't watched it) but I really wish the previous female lead stuck around to act in Now You See Me 2.

Apparently, Now You See Me 3 is already in the undermaking!

I'm a huge fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean so I'm really looking forward on the fifth installment: Dead Men Tell no Tales. I absolutely love Captain Jack Sparrow. I already watched the first four movies more than I could count and I still fall for him every freaking time. Can't wait for 2017 to come!
