Which is your favorite Studio Ghibli Movie?

Post by Kavita Shah »

There are many brilliant movies that have been made by Studio Ghibli. So which one is your favourite?
I like Spirited Away and Chihiro's portrayal was absolutely amazing. She was brave and strong and did not fear Yuu-baba.

I love the mystical yet cozy feeling that the movies of Studio Ghibli bring. However, I weirdly like Ocean Waves. It’s not a fantasy movie, and more like a slice of life. And, the plot is quite boring and confusing. Yet, it’s atmosphere somehow brings nostalgia which I favored more than other Studio Ghibli movies.

I love and hate existential dread.

SPIRITED AWAY for my personal experience.
It's the first Ghibli film I watched.
I can relate to Chihiro's despair when she was forced to do things on her own to survive in a different world she was not used to.

HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE for my romantic experience.
I had to read the book before watching the film.
Both are my favorite! I'm glad that my SO loves the book, too!
just call me "jane" :tiphat:

I can't believe it :D , Occean Waves is one of my favorite movies from that studio. Most people consider them one of the worst, which is a tragedy.

That's really great. I have seen it once and it was superb. It was my first Ghibli movie.

Then you should watch the following
1)Ponyo
2)Kiki's Delivery Service
3)My Neighbor Totoro
4)Princess Mononoke
5)Graveyard of the Fireflies

There are many more exciting one's and from these ones you can start watching more of Anime.
