Yes, the series isn't very good. I don't like the way they portray the characters at all. The books are way better, hands down.

Paper Towns. I was very excited to see it when I saw the trailer, but it was completely different from the book, cut out important scenes from the book, and pulled in characters that were not meant to be there. That was a big disappointment to me

It's not that anyone is bashing the books, it's the movie not one seemed to like.

I personally wasn't a fan of the Allegiant movie. I didn't think it did the book justice at all and was confusing for the people who haven't read the books. I had to explain things several times to my husband (who hasn't read them) throughout the movie, where I didn't need to do that with either Divergent or Insurgent.

I second this! Oh my goodness that movie should not have been made! So much was wrong with it! Which makes me sad for the author because I read that he originally wanted his story to be in a movie format, not a book. There's always hope they can try again later, I suppose.

1. The Lightening Thief
2. The Sea of Monsters
3. Divergent series (seriously they messed up BAD!)
4. Maximum Ride (I've seen the trailer and it looks HORRIBLE!!)
5. Beautiful Creatures (seriously WTF?)

I can go on but you get my point.

Divergent was awful compared to the books. I hated Dear John too, i was so peeved after watching that film.

The da vinci code was truly a bad movie. I agree 100% on that one. I have yet to read the book however I hear it is very good.

The Vanpire Academy series would have made great movies but they really messed them up to the point I wish they hadn't tried to make it at all.

The Maze runner series has been quite a let down. Love the lead actor not the acting that's the problem. It is just one of those series where they left out some really cool and pertinent parts when they made the films. I still recommend the books or audiobooks ( i listened to the whole series and read some of the books after listening to it).

I love to read so it's hard for me to say I have ever saw a movie adaption of a book I read that I thought "wow, that was true to the book" because you loose so many details from the book, but maybe that's my imagination adding details as I read.
I will say, though not as good as the book, The Fault In Our Stars movie was pretty darn close.
