Actually what you said about the facial expressions in comedies makes a lot of since, i haven't given it a lot of thought before. For me I love fantasy books but with movies-tv series i am more flexible.

I try to watch and read different genre movies as well as books. But horror, documentaries, and autobiographies, and biographies are a no-no for both.
Imagine if we had no secrets, no respite from the truth. What if everything was laid bare the moment, we introduced ourselves?

I think, with where we are technologically now, sci/fi books are becoming more and more common adaptations to movies and they are being down well. It is amazing what a difference it makes now vs. where we were 10 years ago. It makes the moves so much more exciting because of the effects.

Yes! Anything horror or thriller is more enjoyable when depicted through actions rather than words. For the books, maybe romantic.

Yes, as for films I like watching: scifi and action only and sometimes comedy
However, I like reading detective novels, medical novels, self help and travel fiction books

I think thrillers are great in books, but in a movie, it tends to be slow and boring. Romance is good in movies, but it's boring in books.

Genres come in handy both 8n movies and books. Getting a children's book or their animation movie takes you to their world of imagination and for a while you forget the real world and the troubles on the other hand thrillers and horrors just excited you. It's just amazing.

I just like quality writing, both the genre or whether it is fiction or nonfiction is a secondary consideration.

I have read some amazing novels covering a wide range of genres, as I'm sure you have, but I have also read some amazing nonfiction books which were just as interesting and educational as well.

I can say the same for films.

I am always in my comfort zone so when I find something I enjoy I stick with it and refuse to try anything different. But with films it is easier for me to branch out of my comfort zone. I learnt recently that I love not only murder shows but murder and crime books. My film and book taste are so much alike. And i find that when I try to watch different genres of films it is easier to read different genres of books.

When it comes to books, I enjoy classic romance books. But in case of movies, I prefer to watch rom-coms. I just don't enjoy contemporary romantic books as much as I enjoy classic romance books.
