Re: Boring movies

Though I try to reserve judgment until I get through at least 25% of the movie, some of them just bore me to death with their beginning. I know they have to set up the conflict and all, but there's no reason for the first part of the movie to be just dialogue. Sprinkle some action in there. I just can't sit through movies that are too slow.

Yes, I have fallen asleep many times while watching a movie, but I always come back to it and try to watch the rest. Not sure if it means the movies are boring or if I am just tired?

I find the movie ouija house boring to the point of not giving a chance of watching it. I slept instead but at the same time, I can't because I'm annoyed by it so I just let it pass.

Yes, a lot of times. I usually just close the movie and start rewatching a movie I actually am sure I would love, such as Harry Potter.

That being said, there are two specific movies I considered to be boring, but they captivated me so much through the atmosphere they created: "Lost in Translation" and "Only Lovers Left Alive".

Lawrence of Arabia. People swear it's a classic but I've tried watching it twice and fell asleep less than half way in.

I have watched a few movies that were questionably boring or just confusing, but one of the movies that made me bored out of my mind were the "Jaws" films. I have seen them about three or four times, and it makes me anxious watching every second of it, because of how slow the movies were haha.

Totally agree with your opinion. Although they're some wonderful movies out there!

I dozed off in Once upon a time in Hollywood.

Also I found Birdman and Justice League to be boring.

I like this question! I have watched movies that made me do my house chores because they were so boring. So, yes I have!

These are the absolute worst! I always seem to find myself feeling this way during some movies that seem to be recognized as cinematic genius, but I just can't get into a movie if it isn't fun. We watch movies to enjoy them, not to be pretentious and sad.

The only movies that I can remember putting me to sleep are The Revenant and Joker.
I just could not get into them no matter how hard I tried.
