If i just learned the recipe, I kind of follow everything but once I master it, I begin to add some stuff and experiment. Or want to make it a better dish.j

Definitely a person who mixes both, I find I follow the recipe if I am baking more than cooking. Though I still change the recipe to fit my needs.

The chemical reactions and balance of the ingredients are what makes your final product. If you don't know what you are doing you might end up with a mess. But if you know what you are doing its ok to experiment. If it's just regular food, experiment ahead!
This! If it's not baking, I'll be a little creative. But when it comes to baking, I'm careful and only do what the recipe says.

If the meal has clear instructions, I simply follow them! If it doesn't taste good, I simply try a new recipe :D

A trait of Caribbean people is that we never follow recipes. It's always improvisation with a pinch of this and that and a few dollops of traditional green seasoning which is never the same blend in any two homes. Very rare do I follow a recipe, there's always something I add or eliminate.

I'm an experimenter who likes using recipe's as inspiration! When it comes to baking I look as measurements more but tend to add extras in anyway.

Experimentation all the way! When it comes to baking, I make sure to substitute wisely to avoid throwing off the delicate chemical balance, but in cooking, the possibilities are endless. I'm not afraid to eat my mistakes 😉

When trying the recipe for the first time, I follow it exactly as in the recipe, but for later times I experiment according to preference.

I'm a late bloomer when it comes to cooking and I tend to be easily pleased with taste. I really don't have much clue when it comes to experimenting herbs and spices so I follow recipes as I don't want to risk ruining the dinner haha

Normally the first time I make something I try to follow the recipe exactly. The only thing I change is if there is something in it that we don't like or can't eat. After I've learned the basic recipe it's fair game. My husband's favorite question when I tell him that I used the recipe is: "Did you ACTUALLY follow the recipe or was it merely a suggestion?" Hahaha.

I first follow the recipe and then change it up! Usually it's adding stuff or removing something, mixing it with another recipe.. some of the people that I bake for have allergies or just don't like something, so I just have to be creative with that

I try and understand the science of food especially when it comes to baking and then adapt recipes to what I want the dish to taste like, like now no matter what I add coffee to chocolate cake recipes to enhance the chocolate flavour, I also prefer to use dutch cocoa powder instead of natural to get a more intense, but less dense final product.

I'm definitely a hybrid. A lot of times I start with a recipe and then change it to fit my tastes. Other times I see what is left over in the fridge and throw together random combinations.

Nowadays..I always do some experimenting on food particularly those exotic ones because my dad likes it that way.
