for us, we prepare the local in the manner of:
1. measure the desired amount of rice in a cup;
2. in a kettle, wash/rinse the rice;
3. boil the rice in a water level corresponding to the rice;
4. cook for 15- 25 minutes;
5. let it set and serve hot.

We cook rice difrerently in our country. First we soak them in water for 30 minutes and boil water and then add rice and let the water vapourize and then serve them.

For amazing results.
Cook rice without prior boiling of water. I.e put your rice in cooking pot add cold water at ratio 1:1 of rice to water, add cooking oil and salt, stir then use relatively low heat to cook.
You'll achieve amazingly cooked rice, with pleasant aroma.

There are many different varieties of rice. The best way to cook local rice depends on the amount of starch in the grain. If you've never cooked it before, it's best to follow the advice of the locals who are used to what is grown in their fields.

To cook local farm rice, start by rinsing the rice thoroughly to remove excess starch. Then, bring water to a boil in a pot. Add the rice, reduce heat, and simmer covered until the rice is tender. Drain any excess water, and let it rest for a few minutes. Season to taste and serve!
