I have a lot of physical cookbooks, but also use plenty of recipes from the internet. It usually depends on what I’m making to which I turn to. But there’s definitely perks to each for me. With an online recipe, oftentimes there’s more process photos (or videos) or the comments section has advice that helps make the recipe make more sense for me. But my favorite thing about physical cookbooks is that I don’t have to worry about the battery dying or the screen going dark. The worst thing about using an iPad as a cookbook is trying to type in the passcode with my elbow because the screen locked during a part of the recipe where I had dirty/wet hands. 😂

I have never actually read a physical cook book and all my recipes come from websites but I would definitely like to try physical cook books.

Sure do! I mostly use them for baking though since you have to be so precise with that.

I have this old battered cookbook that gets passed down from generation to generation and I would often use it for meals I remember as a child. But that's basically the only physical cookbook I own

I have many physical cook books... however, I have not used any of them since I discovered Pinterest (in the BETA period with exclusive access). It is just so much easier to have everything electronically and I am given the option of finding so many recipes from a huge pool versus the small pool of recipes in a physical book.

I've been given cookbooks as gifts, but aside from flipping through them, I've never really used one. I pretty much rely entirely on the internet for finding new recipes. I like the idea of using a cookbook, though. Maybe one of these days I'll try making something from one of them!

The only physical copies of recipes I have are ones that I've learned from my mom. I don't make them often since they have really long prep times and need lots of ingredients, but I still treasure them!

I always use a paper cookbook. The internet receipies are ok for something new, but the tried and true are always in my physical cookbook. I am also big on the recipes in cooking magazines.

Our family still have a hard cook book that is so big. I like cookbooks better than the recipe on the internet, Idk it just feels more traditional.

I prefer physical cookbooks. Easier to edit and write notes on. Writing the recipe yourself helps you remember and understand it better, too.

Oh yes! I have my beloved recipe file filled with old family recipes and cuttings from my granny's time. I adore this file and can honestly say it's one of my most treasured possessions. Especially the recipes with a bit of writing in the margin - adjustments to quantities or extra tips. It's a part of my gran that still lives with me. Am very sentimental about that! :D

I love cook books. To be honest, I don't really use them for recipes. I use them for inspiration. The only time I use cook books for recipes is for baking.

I do prefer to have a physical printed cook book. Even if I look for recipes online, I jot down the ingredients and recipe, or I print it out. I'm just really used to having the copy of the recipe at hand.
