Do You Borrow Library Cookbooks?

I used to, but now I have quite a few cookbooks with more recipes than I can think of. So no need now.

Borrowing cookbooks was a useful introduction to different cooking styles and authors. I think it's good for exploring authors and recipes that you wouldn't normally try. Sometimes the recipes don't work and I avoid that author in the future. And sometimes the recipe was so good I ended up buying that book just to savour the whole thing. I agree with Dael Reader above. Sometimes it's only a few recipes that you would make anyway.

While I haven't done so recently, I do remember going to the library with grandma a few times and looking up specific recipes she wanted to try again when the first results from a different recipe were not spectacular. She would combine elements from different recipes to make her own special recipe.

I usually start off by searching for recipes on Pinterest, then if there's a certain style of cooking that I am interested in, I'll look for them at the library. For example, if I want to learn more vegan recipes, or clean eating recipes, then I'll look for books that are more in depth than what I can find on Pinterest. I take pictures of the recipes that I like to keep them available.

I've checked out a few cookbooks from the library. Mostly I check out books about how to make bread in my bread machine.

I don't borrow from the library but I buy them online at a cheaper cost.

I borrow cookbooks about baking. But most of the traditional recipes in our country are oral. So if I like the taste of some food I make sure to ask them.

I have never considered borrowing a cook book, however if I to borrow one, it would be exclusively about baking.

I don't borrow library cookbooks. For the most part, I bookmark my favorite recipes online or refer to an old notebook where I've written down some old staple recipes.
