Diet Lemon Iced Tea

Post by Spontaneo »

Don't ask where I read it, but I found this recipe and think you might like it as-much-as I do!

Diet Lemon Iced Tea (makes you pucker up and quenches your thirst)

12 black tea bags
2 to 3 sugar-free lemonade packets
pitcher
cool water

Sprinkle packets into pitcher.
Fill with cool water.
Mix.
Place tea bags on top.
Place pitcher in fridge for about 6 hours.

Drink!

Sounds like a good way to make diet lemon iced tea. I'd say it must be very bitter without any sweetener.

Like I mentioned, it makes one pucker up but really does quench the thirst.

You could always use a sweetener substitute like Sukrin or monk fruit sweetener. They don't adversely affect the body like cane sugar or other sugar substitutes. They generally don't spike blood sugar either.

That said, definitely do your own research. I'm not a medical professional. I'm just relaying information I've learned. :)

This recipe sounds nice. I don't have a problem with not adding sugar. If needed a little honey is always wonderful with lemon.

My hubby likes unsweetened tea but I can't stand how bitter it is! How is it refreshing or thirst quenching when it leaves your mouth so dry??

12 tea bags? Wow!
But lemon water in itself is refreshing so I can only imagine how this would taste. I should try it.
