Leftovers are meals to be taken very serious. I personally love leftovers! Here is an easy way to remember what to do with leftovers... " If the food was prepared with perishable ingredients throw the leftovers out". Remember perishable food is sensitive and non-perishable is not.

My favorite leftovers are chili and stews because I love how the ingredients absored all the flavor. Also, they can be used as a filling for empanads or pot pies for another day.

I normally feed them to dogs they seem to love leftovers especially if there is meat in there. Now if its from a very delicious meal then well I would eat the leftovers.

I will divide out portions and freeze them, using them for work lunches.

We have leftovers the next day for lunch. Adding some kinds of leftovers to soup is also a good alternative.

Depends on how enticing it was... Sometimes I make too much or don't want to throw it away so it sits in the back of the fridge until it changes colors & then I'm like

"oh I have to throw it out now!!!" I'm so terrible lol. :icon-redface:

I never make enough of a single dish to have left overs for more than a few days. I generally have 2-3 meals of leftovers so I can switch them around :)

The only leftovers I make into something else is normally chicken. I'll make pot pie or some sort of casserole out of it.

We have a leftover day at the end of the week. We put it all on a cookie sheet and we hear it up in the oven. Then it’s like a buffet!

Of course I'll eat them later, possibly next day for lunch!

I cook every day from scratch, and I LOVE cooking "too much food" (as if), because it allows me to have a break from making an entirely new meal if there are enough leftovers.

A big hit in our house is Beef Fried Rice. I keep a lot of rice on hand anyways, so I always overdo it, and then I use the leftovers as a side dish for some sort of Asian-inspired chicken.

I usually store them safely and consume them the following morning.

Leftovers aren't thrown away in my house. I use them the next day for lunch or dinner.

I didn't make this dish, I took it home after lunch with my friend, but it was a delicious ramen soup. I had done it once before and my brother warned me about warming it in the microwave - it just did taste as good. Well, the second time around I decided to heat it up over a slow fire in a small pot. It tasted great! Just like at the restaurant.

I'm not sure if this was common knowledge but I thought it would be nice to share for those who'll find themselves in a similar position.

It depends on what leftover we're speaking about, but I either freeze it for another meal or I cook it into another dish, like a casserole or a pie.
