I am Indian and vegetarian. India is a land of vegetarian delicacies. My whole family is vegetarian for their whole lives and still there are some things we haven't tried. I am attaching a link of vegetarian food blog, you can check it out if you like.

Whenever I go vegetarian I eat a lot of potatoes. It sounds simple, but there are a lot of recipes you can use and they're not expensive. Also, Jamie Oliver has some good vegetarian recipes.

Sauté onion, ginger and garlic paste in some oil.Add tomato puree. Then add veggies/canned beans/tofu and spices of your choice.. Mix well and let it cook for about 5 mins.. And it’s done! You can have this with bread or some rice.. It tastes delicious!

This link is so helpful, thank you! I'm going to college in the Fall and I'm thinking I'd like to try being vegetarian.

I like vegetarian food. I think it is easy on the gut. There are many dishes that I love. Hard you name them all.

I have been vegetarian for 8 years my mom has for 27 and it was the best switch I could’ve made. It is easy on your stomach making you feel less guilty about what you ate the night before.

Being vegetarian is hard. Anytime you go into a restaurant with your friends and are given the menu, you will notice there are limited choices. But you get used to it and find creative ways to make your food delicious.

You should make teriyaki, but without the meat. Even without the meat, it's still tasty. You can make it with any budget, because you can decide which vegetables you want to include. :tiphat:

You can search for Asian recipes. Especially Indian recipes. Most people here are vegetarians and even non-veg recipes can be converted to vegetarian and vegan with some thinking.

I love potatoes, one of the easiest ways in which I make them is boiling them until medium soft, then taking them out of the water and let them cool for a bit
meanwhile sauté some onions chopped into really small pieces, add some spinach and sour cream and let that cook in slow heat while stirring it continuously and then add a bit of cheese, keep stirring
cut the potatoes in half horizontally and use a spoon or fork to scrape part of the middle, then add that scraped potato to the pot of spinach, keep adding cream, cheese, salt and spinach to taste
when the spinach is cooked, turn off the heat and fill your potatoes
you can bake them or let them finish cooking in a pan

Can I consider myself a vegetarian? I don't take read meat; I only take white meat. But still, I also take some animal products like milk and cheese.

I don't know anything about vegetarian food but falling back isn't the worst thing. Eating meat is very healthy for you. Why does one go vegetarian. Is it for diet or just because they feel like it apart from the whole animal cruelty thing.
