Then when I turned 18 I cooked on my own for the first time learning basic cooking then I've been cooking ever seens. I guess that question relates to what you believe "cooking" is. If it means making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches then probably about 10. I was fascinated with making cakes and pies at about 15. I didn't learn to cook at a young age as you can see.

I didn't learn to start cooking until I was much older. Around 35. In college, I relied on takeout and dorm room potlucks. When I started working, I was too busy to cook. Most of my meals were from fast food joints and restaurants. Now that I'm older, I can appreciate being able to cook a healthy meal. In fact, I prefer cooking over fast food or most restaurants.
