I'd place my skills at about a 3, but my enjoyment is at about six.

I'd have to rate my interest at about a 9 and my skill I'd say a fair 7. I cook too much for only two people but it's good food. I would rate higher than a 7 for skill except that I will almost always mess up a box dinner that should be easier to cook than from scratch.

My cooking interest 0 (I hate cooking)
My cooking skills, maybe 7 or 8 (That's why my husband says, so I cannot be completely sure of it :eusa-think: )

I'd rate myself an eight. Meals aren't regular because I live alone, but when I do cook I use spices and coconut oil and try to cook healthy, but it's always delicious. My weakness is bacon grease lol, a seasoning choice promoted by my grandmother. When I try new recipes I always tweak it and make it mine.

7 or 8. I'm not great at it but I'm always willing to try. I'd lean more towards the 7 range than 8 though because of the fact that I have issues with making a roux.

I just got into cooking this year and I'd rate myself a 4. I have made some pretty good dishes but I usually mess up in one way or another before I get it exactly right.

On the other hand I have a great advantage that other newbies to cooking do not have. I have a very good friend in Paris who is a chef and he has been tutoring me by phone and emails in the course of our communications. He even insisted on buying me a very expensive Boosblock cutting board, chef's knife, a set of bamboo implements and the best tongs on earth. He refuses to take any payment for them. Most importantly he has provided me with 4 star restaurant recipes and the subtle advice required to make them come out successfully, but I still have a lot to learn regarding just about everything connected to cooking.

EDITED TO ADD: I am proud of the fact that I can now boil an egg without it exploding [;- ) .

I quite enjoy cooking and would like to do more, but I live alone so tend not to. When I do, I'd rate my ability about 6/10 but when it comes to variety and innovation, rather than just cooking the same few dishes, 4/10!

I would also rate myself a 6. I like cooking when it's something new or on Thanksgiving day, but I definitely find myself over the stove out of obligation rather than enjoyment. Cooking is just cheaper than eating out!

Interest probably about 2. Skills maybe 5 or 6. I can cook if it's needed but it can taste very similar.

7 at baking, I guess 5 all-together. I am skilled enough to know how skilled a person can actually be and what I am lacking in knowledge. :)

I'm an 8. I enjoy cooking and gave an interest, but I'm way too hard on myself if something goes wrong.
It's amazing to see the world through the eyes of children. It's more fun to read with them, too.

I would rate my cooking skills and interests at 8 out of 10. This is because I was told that my cooking is very delicious.
