Exercise, I love my food, but this days it hasn't been easy to wake up and jog or find time to do any other form of exercise so am trying dieting for now.

I agree with you, there should be a balance of both. Personally, I prefer exercise because I love food, dieting is hard.

I prefer to focus on excercise, and just make healthier food choices instead of outright calorie counting.

Balance is the best way to go, but I typically find dieting a lot easier to do. I love to exercise, I just don't always have the time! I downloaded the My Fitness Pal app and kept track of what I ate for a couple of weeks. It's just insightful to know how many (bad) calories some foods are! Or just how much sugar is in everything. I had my mind blown. It helped me a lot.

I think in order to achieve the desired result, it is advisable to do both for health reasons.

These days people have become so busy that they don't pay much attention towards their health. They are getting fat as a result. Some people do extreme diet to lose weight and sone opt for heavy exercises. According to me there should be a balance of both diet and exercise.
What do you think about this?
Hi,
I had a weight problem 2 years ago. I just finished servicing a 4 year stint at a remote oil company compound in the volatile Kenya-Sudan border, there wasnt much to do during that time and food was in plenty. Especially Mars bars and protein shakes. I had gained a whooping 32kgs (75pounds) during that period.

Back in civilization, I set forth to clear the weight through intensive cardio-exercises and better eating choices. I've found exercise is almost exclusively the best way to control weight, but it needs enormous amounts of discipline. I've lost all that weight so far...

I agree that there should be a balance of exercise and diet. However in todays world its easy to get off track with all the fast food or working all the time.

I think a combination of both. Physical activity is extremely important, but you'll still pack on the pounds if you eat more than you work off!

My metabolism is so great I see no need to diet. Am slim as it is. Exercise though is good not for shedding fat in my case but for proper regulation of blood and cardio function. As a med student I know how essential this is to a healthy lifestyle.

I tried both at the same time to get fit. And it never really was easy dieting and exercising. But somehow I managed to pull it off with flying colors. But you really must need a lot of self discipline and restraint. But it is really very rewarding. In two months time you'll gonna have a trim and healthy body.

A balance of both is required, but I would prefer to exercise a bit more as opposed to cutting down on food items I enjoy.
