I find myself wanting to eat or drink what the characters I connect with are eating and drinking the story (within reason - if it's a vampire story go ahead and count me out on the blood drinking).

I detest eating while reading. It makes me loose focus and slows reading speed. That was just a joke.
When the book gets to a climax or the my favorite character unravels a mystery, I take a huge bite to celebrate with him.
To be without some of the things you want is an indispensable part of happiness.

Eating while I read has never worked out for me. It makes me lose focus which result to reduced effect in terms of reading. My response towards the same is avoiding to eat when reading if I really want to get the a comprehensive idea clearly with little or no difficulties.

I like to eat while I'm reading. It could be a snack or any food, accompanied with a drink and it has become a habit.

If someone else makes me the food, it's fantastic! Then I don't need to stop reading to eat! But if I needed to feed myself, I can go hours without eating. I tend to get lost in my books. I usually like to have a few big jugs of water nearby, and I can get my daily water intake done while reading, as I will just sip mindlessly until the water is gone.

I have the same habit too but normally its either a soda or tea depending on whether it's cold or warm.

Yes! I love curling up with a book and hot chocolate or coffee. As far as snacks go I tend to lean towards chips or crackers sometimes cookies. Something simple so i dont have to put my book down or maneuver it.

I always like the idea, but don't particularly like the actual thing. I just need both my hands while I eat.
