I read really fast but it also depends on how interesting the book is to me.

I think it varies but mostly 1 minute per page. I can usually finish a 200 page book in 2-3 hours.

As others have said, it really depends on how enjoyable the book is. If I'm really into the story, I'm a pretty fast reader, although the style of prose is a factor as well. I finished each of the Harry Potter books in a day, less for the shorter ones. While the Song of Fire and Ice series was equally enjoyable, those took longer to finish because they were not as easy reads as the HP books for me.

Like a lot of people have said, I tend to read faster when a book engages me. If I am reading a book that isn't very interesting it will take quite a bit longer. I found in school that while reading a text book I would zone out halfway through and have to go back and re-read what I had just "read" to fully comprehend it. That was annoying :D

It depends on what I'm reading and what I'm going through when I'm reading any given book at any given time...lately I've been back to my normal pace, and I can typically go through a 200-400 page book in between 2 and 8 days. This is due to work and school schedules eating up a chunk of my time.
The joys of literature transcend the evils of the world. I believe in its miraculious baptism and emotional power of the words trickling down the page. To me, there is no higher artform...

It depends on the book, and whether I'm reading it for homework or fun.

About 1.2 books a week this year. My goal is 80 books this year. Last year my goal was fifty and I ended up with fifty eight, so I'm hoping U can squeeze another twenty two out of the year.

I would say it takes about 10-12 hours of reading to finish most books.

It obviously depends on the kind of book.
If I'm really into the story I can't cram it into my brain quick enough.
Textbooks take much much much longer as every single word needs to go in, be understood and applied and then remembered.
I'm quite obviously a student; good students don't skim read.

I am a thorough reader, so I tend to read quite slow. I read in English even slower as it's not my native language.

Usually about 1 or 2 books a week that average 300 to 500 words. And that's if I'm not busy. Otherwise it's a book every 1 or 2 weeks.
