For me, it's the Shadow and Bone series based on Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse.
It's one of those few rare shows where the adaptation is better than the books.

The After series.. I just love that book too much at time, and the movie is also good.. I like the cast and how they portray their character.

Jason Bourne series contains such great books. The movies do not even compare at all.

The Lord of the Rings.
I love the Harry Potter books, but I still haven't seen all movies. I saw the first five, they were fun, but not all that great.

Pinocchio is one of my favorite books, but the Disney animated film is very different. Pinocchio is more of a flawed character in the original novel for starters. Arguably, that makes his journey have greater substance. I do love the Disney film for its own reasons, including the classic songs.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy was so perfectly adapted from book to screen that it really is amazing. I almost always prefer the book version over the movie, but with these, it's difficult to say. I've watched the movies over and over again.

An epic of south India that is worth every bit of celebration.
The plot, twist, characterization everything will make you forget the real world.
One of my most favorites.

Gone with the Wind, Atonement, The English patient. I had high hopes for the movie version of Cold Mountain after reading the book, but :( it did not live up to the book. Boo hiss.

Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil is one of my all-time favourite books. I was thrilled when it was made into a movie. And even one of the characters in the book, Miss Chablis, appeared as herself in the film. I thoroughly recommend both to every reader.
