More often than not, yes. I do try to think from the protagonist's point of view. Even if they make a wrong choice I sometimes find myself making excuses for them. When the book finally ends is when I start getting my rationality back.

Sometimes. If it's something I can relate to, I definitely do.

I completely agree. I try and justify their decision even if it was completely wrong.

For me it's very variable. I mean, it depends a lot on the protagonist, what he/she thinks, what he/she does and so on.

I definitely do. I think that's why I enjoy reading so much. I can be pulled right into the story. The only times I break from this is when the protagonist makes awful choices or is oblivious! Haha.

I actually don't become the character in the book while I read. I am still very invested, I just always see the characters as very different from me.

For me it depends. If the protagonist makes bad choices that don't resonate well with me, I don't become one with them.

Yes. Whenever I'm reading, I imagine myself in place of my favourite female character. It could be the MC or the supporting character. I can't get into a book if I can't relate to any of the characters.
