What book started your passion for reading?

What was the book that made you into a bookworm? How old were you then? How did you feel when you were reading or finished reading the book?

I don’t remember how old I was when I first had a profound love for reading but all I can remember was I was very little and would love to go the library at lunch breaks at school. I would sit reading until the bell rang. As a teenager I was homeschooled and my dad would buy me second hand novels that were around 600 pages long, I loved those books sooo much! I guess I was very little when I started to enjoy books and then as I grew older my passion grew. 😊

Although I always liked reading, my favorite book that made me a reader was Nancy Drew's 'The mystery at the Lilac Inn' by Caroline Keene. I was probably about 9 when I read it.

When I first started reading, my mother would let me buy several Little Golden Books every time she went to the beauty parlor. I would read while she had her hair done. I loved it.

I don't actually remember when I pick up reading. I started with comics, short stories, pictorial fantasy books. I literally read almost everything from any inscription to the back of any package, shampoo bottle, labels... Everything! I think, reading is my inborn gift.
A joke is to entertain people. If it fails to do so, it's something else!

I definitely got hooked on the Junie B. Jones series when I was in about first grade, and haven't been able to stay away from books ever since.

I think it was 'The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak'. I was 18 years old. It felt like I have done something meaningful in my life finally.

The novel that made me start reading literature as I do now is Oliver Twist. It is an exceedingly intriguing book.

M&B but I can't remember the the exact books.
My uncle' used to keep many books on crime and romance in his room and I used to go to his room to pick and just smell the nice books, check the front cover photos and leave.
By the time I started reading I found myself, picking more of the type of books my uncle used to read, weirdly.

The first fiction book I ever read, Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods by Rick Riordan began my passion for reading.

Many years ago, my third grade teacher read "The Box Car Children" to the class, always stopping at a cliff hanger. This is how my obession began.
