Do long books put you off reading?

I mostly enjoy long books as long as the extra information is not irrelevant. A good book can be over 1000 pages and I won’t be discouraged.

it normally depends on one's own interest in the book, but I must confess that a book with 500 o more pages can be a bit boring. most of the time the story meets a pause in at least 200 hundred pages. And the story gets lost

If the book is interesting and actually has a good plot, no not really. But if it is one of those slow burns where nothing happens until the last 10 pages then yes.

The more pages the book have, the happier I am. Strangely enough, its like I read these 1000 page books quicker than a book with say 300 pages.

As long as the content is interesting and the writing is good, I don't care about the length of the book. There are instances where I have re-read a great albeit lengthy book because I enjoyed it. If the reading experience is good I don't think the length matters.

They put me off. The thought of reading anything more than 600 pages is unbearable. Maybe if it's a good story I could give it a shot. But I know it will take me a really long time to finish it.

I don't mind long books at all. I love getting drawn into a different world and really getting to know each of the characters. My favorite book is Pillars of the Earth and it's over 800 pages.

Long books overwhelm me. A lot. If I decide to pick up a lengthy book and find that the writing is well-paced and the story is interesting enough for me, I'm very likely to still finish it in a span of a few days though.

Before I had kids, I didn't mind a lengthy book. Now that I don't have much time for myself, I prefer shorter books.
