I like long books because I know I have something that will entertain me for a while

I like long books because the stories are usually well thought out and the characters very detailed. I prefer a long book that is divided into smaller books or sections within the main book. It helps motivate me to keep going.

Never. Sometimes, I read them faster than the smaller ones.

It depends on how far into the book I already am, and if where I am is compelling enough to continue. A lot of the longer classics have turned me off, mostly because I can only take the language for so long, after a while it starts to get, "'Tis a bore." This may be a bit picky, but if it's a longer novel and has too many words on the page, I'm instantly turned off.

I can read long books if the storyline appeals to me
The font is pretty important too, not tiny or bland. Besides, I'm one to hit the pause button if I start getting bored or cranky, to resume later after a couple of fluffy reads to decompress? But books like Harry Potter or This Charming Man told me I couldn't pull that stunt on 'em?

I am not. I love long books. Sometimes I take a break and read short books, but I am big on the longer ones. I think it's because it's not only a challenge to get it done but because when I get into a good story I just want it to keep going

If the book is interesting, then the length of the book would not matter. I would be more interested in finding out what happened next.

Never. I actually pick the big ones. They give me a sense of excitement. The heavier the book, the more excited I get about it. :P

NO they don't if anything they want me to keep reading, however it is nice to have a break once in awhile and read a short book. That is what I like about good long books and series is once it's good you want it to keep going.

No, for example I love the Outlander series and those books are proper bricks. But I do like variety, which means mixing those lengthy ones with light reads. Also if it is clear that there isn't going to be a time for long sessions of reading I choose to pick up something shorter.

They did in the past, but as I gather experience reading and writing I find myself looking for these more than the tiny ones. That is because they usually hold enough information to leave you satisfied. It's hard for a small book to give one a thorough understanding of a concept or a story. I'm still learning, but I'm reading a 700 page book right now, so I'm progressing quickly :)

Long or short, it's the story that matters to me. I'll put a short story down if it's not a good story.

It's the opposite for me. I tend not to even try to read books that have fewer than 500 pages. I have this belief that an author who writes a large book must have a lot of confidence in his story and his story telling skills. Also, I don't want a book to end just when I develop an emotional connection with its characters.

If it's in physical form or eBook usually yeah, but I like to listen to bigger books on audio.
