No! Personally I would rather read a book that is 500+ pages over something that is two chapters. In longer books there is more plot and character development and I've always found longer books better. With short books, I feel like they are cut short and there are so many places they could go if they had only added a few more chapters.

I would have to say that the opposite is true for me. The longer the book the better. Well, do long as the plot is developed well and not drawn out just for the sake of pages

I prefer longer books, and with that series of books. I like to stay in a world the author has created for me as long as possible while still reading as much as possible.

Not at all. I don't choose a book for its length.

Not bothered by the number of pages at all, specially now that I'm using a kindle. I barely notice how far I've read, unless I check the percentage.

I love reading long books and actually find the shorter the book, I don't really want to read it. Personally for me, the longer the better. If the book is small, but I still think it is worth the read I will still read it for example Turned by Morgan Rice isn't a very large book, but I still read it and I loved the series.

For me it depends on the writting. If the author tends to spend long amounts of time describing scenery and has very little character development then it could seem like the book is a million pages. No matter how many pages the book actually is.

I guess that is my long winded way of saying the page number doesn't matter. The content does.

All depends on how engaging the book is. Some long books can get draggy after a while but just like a good TV series with twists and turns, I definitely don't mind a long book as long as the pace is moving fast enough.

I totally avoid books that are longer than 500 pages, because I get bored easily. I know that a very long book would definitely have a lot of unnecessary details (And I hate those) so I avoid reading them. I prefer stories that are fast-paced or books that get straight to the point.

I love a good book, whether it is long or short. If it does not get boring, I don't mind it at all.

Absolutely not! I prefer long books way more than short books. Most of the time, I won't read a book under 200 pages. To me, anything between 300 and 500 is a good book length because if its too long then it will sometimes get boring. However there are many amazing books that are massive and are far from boring.

I've read War and Peace and The Odyssey so long books don't discourage me. However, King bores me; I had to force myself to finish The Stand. If I read horror I want it to be HORROR! My wife owned every book he wrote. I love fantasy, but since I'm writing fantasy right now I'm reading technical sci-fi or what I'm reading can affect my writing.

I prefer longer books, so when I see a book that's 600+ pages long rather than put me off reading, it encourages me to do so.
