I have to agree that it can be overwhelming. However, I love to look at all the books I have when I purchase them. I feel an accomplishment when I find the time read them and finish them. The one thing I like about the kindle app is it says how many hours it takes to read the book. So if you think maybe 200 pages is a lot, but then it says only 2 hours to read it, to me that means if I can just find 2 hours in day to read this I find it I can read the book faster rather than reading a normal book with that amount of pages. I would rather read a normal book any given day, but sometimes that just can't happen.

Since one month ago approx., I have added about 7 books to my TBR list.

Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk, by Kathleen Rooney.
A Pinch of Poison, by Alyssa Maxwell.
The Never-Open Desert Diner, by James Anderson.
Snowbirds, by Crissa Chappell
The Reader on the 6.27, by Jean-Paul Didierlaurent.
New World Fairy Tales, by Cassandra Parkin.
How to Walk a Puma.., by Peter Allison.

I like that each one is distinctly different from the other, and each of them allows me to escape to another place and time.

I do and it frustrates me because there is so much out there that is just waiting to be read and there is only one me with a limited time for reading. I also have things that have to be read due to my jobs and that seriously cuts into my time to read as well.

I look at my books and simply think, "What do I want to read next?" Somehow, I can always carve out time to read because I make it an important thing in my life.

I've given up on ever making serious headway on all the books I've purchased until I retire. I just try to enjoy the one I'm reading now, and continue buying and buying....

Yes. Every time I start a new book I think that. That is okay, though cause we will never run out of books to read.

Absolutely!! I've got six boxes of unread books in the garage, not to mention a few dozen in the house, and yet I find myself continuing to buy books. I'm doing my best to not just keep up but get ahead ... but it's daunting.

Yes! I always wonder when I'm going to be able to read all of my unread books, but I always end up buying more.

Yes...when am I ever going to finish them. I can't even begin to count the number of books in my library I haven't read. My wife buys me books for most major holidays...10 to 15 books at a time so my collection is huge.

I can totally relate - I just love searching and finding new books. Even though my 'to be read' list has at least 10-12 books in line. It's just exciting to find new titles. :)

I look at my constantly growing list of books to read and know I will never get to them all. Because I keep adding new ones to it every day! I guess that's ok. I'll never run out of things to do. There will always be a book waiting.

For me I have kind of already resigned to the fact that there are way too many books out there. Forget those books that come out every day of the future... there are a myriad of amazing books I will never read that have already been published and that have already lived up to their hype!

There are times I feel overwhelmed but then I think well at least I'm building my library. :D I'm just grateful I will never run out of finding something to read.
