What's the last book you bought?

Post by GotThatSwing »

I am sure there are not only book readers among this group but buying books addicts. So, have you bought any books recently?

I've been waiting for a friend couple of days ago and of course went into the bookstore which I left with 3 books:
- Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
- Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne
- Lord Jim by Joseph Conrad

What books did you buy? :D
Lolita. Light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth.

My last book purchase was 'Saints & Sinners' a book of short stories by Irish writer Enda O'Brien
Usual story I needed a cup of coffee & went into the Costa coffee shop attached to my local bookshop & I had to walk through the shop to get to the coffee shop & I was tempted & surrendered ... it's a beautifully written book thought so no regrets & the coffee was hot & aromatic.

I got that one for Xmas but didn't get to it yet ... is it worth moving up to a pole position on my TBR pile?

Great, great book. It was the book of the month a fair while ago. If I was you Fran I would move it up the list. It is not a long book but it is full of some wonderful characters and a great adventure. :)

I keep seeing people talk about Water for Elephants. I guess I will have to go out and buy it now. The last book I bought was Farlander by Col Buchanan. I can’t walk by a bookstore without buying a book.

I think so! I'm about 100 pages in. It's a great read.
