Lat time I when to the book store, I spent $300.00 on books. Mainly how to write fiction better, but some were adult coloring books. But there was really a huge pile of books.

And don't get me started on Amazon. I buy an e-book almost daily. It's a good thing I don't have kids, I wouldn't have the money to feed my book addiction.

A Book Outlet near me is moving out of their current spot, so they're having a huge sale, 60% off of their already discounted prices! I bought 18 books for $35! Those sales are deadly!

I've been on a strict No Buy Policy this year, but two books just came out from authors that are on my must by list. I downloaded them from Audible:

The Beast by J R Ward (Black Dagger Brotherhood)
The Murder of Mary Russell by Laurie R. King

Now back to keeping on budget.

I recently purchased A Night Divided by Jennifer Nielsen. This historical fiction book is set in Berlin as the wall is being built to separate the city following World War II. I thought the book was a good companion book to teach junior high students about how the wall divided the city. It kept my interest, but as an educator and reading teacher, I often look for books for my students to enjoy.

The last book I bought was "Shadow of Night" by Deborah Harkness. I am reading this trilogy for the second time because it's been a while and the story is excellent. I love these books and the way Deborah writes. She makes me feel like I am visiting the places she is describing past and present. It is not often that I read a book twice, this set is an exception. :techie-studyinggray:
I am also reading the 3rd book in the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. I enjoy the magical world that he has created and hope that Vin and Elend are able defeat the ruin that has been devouring the world with it's darkness and death.

The most recent book I bought was Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. I have got around to reading yet. This month I got Tandem by Anna Jarzab from book drop. And I also ordered a book on writing The Writer's Journey: Mythic Structure For Writers by Christopher Vogler.
